We were at the monthly rainbow room in Oct 2001 when my mate (Cass) said "that's it, I'm goning to try and pick her up, she is hot, I can't stop looking at her".  Afraid of being left on my own I followed and thought I could chat to the "hot chick's" mate (Trish) to give Cass some time.

Within 5 minutes hot chick was yakking to me and the nerd talk came out, before we new it we were exchanging ICQ numbers and email addresses.  I didn't think much of this, as far as I was concerned I was making a new mate.

A couple of days later the authorisation requst from "smellyboxonheat" came through and we got yakkin.  As a matter of fact we yakked a damn lot.  We yakked during the day and then again of an evening. 

One month passed and I was leaving work on the Friday night, about to head over to Gippsland for another Rainbow room when Bindi (my work mate) says to me "with your tongue piercing, does it get in the way? what happens if you kiss someone else with a tongue piercing" to which I replied "I'll tell you on Monday". 

I headed over to Gippsland and knocked back a few drinks and next thing I know this "hot chick" (Ant/Fish) was knealing between my legs sussing out where tonite was going.  Little did I know she went and asked my mate (Dannii) permission if it was ok if she hooked up with me.  My mate from the month before - Cass, well she left pretty quick and went home.

During the following months our phone bills went through the roof as excessive amounts of SMS's were sent.  We caught up together most weekends and if we couldnt catch up on the weekends Fish would come to Melbourne mid week for a night or two.

In october (b4 we hooked up) I applied for a job in Gippsland.  I didn't hear anything so I assumed I didn't get it, so I never mentioned it to Fish.  Then in Feb I was called up for an interview.  Now Fish had always told me she went to Uni, so I didn't see how a job at TAFE could cause any probs, as it turns out she went to uni but this year was going to TAFE to do IT. Ahhh well. 

So I went for the interview, blitzed it and before I new it I was moving to Gippsland.

At this stage however we had only been together for a few months and neither of us were ready for that whole 'move-in' thing.  Unlike most lesbians we didn't move in together after the second date. 

We did however move in together after about 8-12 months. Now some 4 years later we are still shacked up, just living in Canberra instead of Gippsland.

Each year in November we try to go on a mission somewhere

Nov 2002 - Angelsea

Nov 2003 - Noosa

Nov 2004 - Cobram

Nov 2005 - we had just moved to Canberra so we went to the theater to see "Measure for Measure".  Next year we shall try to make up for a quiet one this year.

Inbetween the big trips we have fitted in lots of little ones.  Lakes Entrance, Cobram, Canberra, Melbourne.
