Finally... some landscaping Print E-mail

So... we've now been in our house 3 years and 3 weeks and we can now say we have 'started' our landscaping.  Grass in the backyard actually... looks good.

Just before Christmas Fish and I went out and purchased all the bricks we were going to need to put up a little garden wall - we then had to move every last single one of them into the backyard (fortunatly we had gardening gloves so my hands didn't suffer too much).

We had one of our mates organised to come over and help us lay the bricks and a nice mowing strip and... thats as far as we got.  We went over to the UK, then footy started and we just got busy again so we gave in and called a landscaper, now, not only do we have our little brick wall up we have grass too.

We told him exactly what we wanted, he wasn't too keen on our choice of bricks and had some other advice but Fish wasn't budging on what we wanted and once he got started, the landscaper actually agreed with our choices and now really likes these bricks and loves the job he did.

Once he finished putting down the grass, we went out and purchased our plants and planted them.  We are trying to be practical with our choice of plants mixing up some fruit trees with some decorative stuff.  We have some apple, mandarine, nectorine and a lemon/lime splitzer trees.  We have some blackberry, rasberry, blueberry and blackburrent bushes.  We have some pinapples (yes as long as we keep them covered during the frost they will grow in Canberra) and then we mixed it up with some other plants to add some colour.
