On the weekend at my folks place in Victoria (Strathmerton) the temperature gage leaped to 47 degree’s, the last time the mercury got that high was Jan 3 1991 when a bush fire went racing along the bushland less than a km from home – it was so hot on the weekend that two koala’s found there way into the two gum tree’s only 10meters from my mums front door, they were squealing and grunting so mum popped the sprinkler on and they wandered down and sat in the water until they were soaked right through, then they’d climb back up to the top of the tree dry off and start the process all over again.
